APB100/150 Simpson Strong-Tie - Adjustable Column Support

The Adjustable Elevated Post Base APB is a screw-adjustable post support for connecting timber posts to a concrete or structural header while keeping the timber raised above the surface. The integrated screw allows the standoff height to be adjusted between 100–150 mm, helping to level posts on site and improve durability by separating timber from standing water and ground contact.

The APB is made from pre-galvanised mild steel and is suitable for square timber posts from 100 x 100 mm up to 200 x 200 mm, including solid and glulam posts. It is commonly used for post supports in garages, carports, pergolas and other light timber structures where a height-adjustable connection to the base is required.

Installation (timber side):
Post positions are marked, then coach screws (SSH10x60 – 75151) are driven through the holes in the base plate into the end grain of the timber post. The screw adjustment is then used to set the required standoff height and to level the structure.

Application areas:
Designed as an elevated post base for timber posts in exterior and interior applications where the post must be raised off the ground and height adjustment is needed during installation.
